Mombacho Volcano is a volcano in Nicaragua, near the city of Granada. It has a height of 1,345 meters above sea level.
It is home to one of the last tropical rainforest areas in Nicaragua, and contains unique flora and fauna. It has been declared a Nature Reserve. Its last eruption is unknown, but fumaroles still exist on its slopes.
At Mombacho Volcano, you can choose between walking around one of the craters or climbing the rest. In addition to the different types of trees and plants that flourish in the cloud forest.
